Community Guidelines

We protect a high-signal, respectful environment where Africa's AI builders and users collaborate to convert ambition into global influence.

1. Our Pledge

We pledge to make our community welcoming, safe, and equitable for all, regardless of background, identity, or status. We are committed to fostering an environment that respects and promotes the dignity, rights, and contributions of all individuals. The same privileges of participation are extended to everyone who participates in good faith and in accordance with this Covenant.

2. Encouraged Behaviors

We strive to meet our community's expectations for positive behavior and act in ways that center our shared mission. These include:

  • Respecting the purpose: Aligning with our mission to design Africa's AI blueprint.
  • Engaging kindly and honestly: Building trust in a post-scam era.
  • Respecting different viewpoints: Valuing the diverse expertise of builders and users.
  • Taking responsibility: Owning our actions and contributions.
  • Constructive feedback: Gracefully giving and accepting guidance to improve our AI playbooks.
  • Repairing harm: Committing to reconciliation when tensions occur.
  • Community well-being: Acting in ways that sustain our collective growth.

3. Restricted Behaviors

Instances, threats, and promotion of these behaviors are strict violations of our Code of Conduct:

  • Harassment: Violating boundaries or persistent unwanted attention.
  • Character attacks: Insulting or demeaning comments.
  • Stereotyping or discrimination: Characterizing personality based on immutable traits.
  • Sexualization: Inappropriately intimate behavior in a professional context.
  • Violating confidentiality: Sharing personal or private information without permission.
  • Endangerment: Causing or threatening violence or harm.
  • Misleading identity: Impersonation or evading enforcement.
  • Failing to credit sources: Not properly attributing content or AI-generated contributions.
  • Promotional materials: Excessive self-promotion or spamming.
  • Irresponsible communication: Presenting restricted content without context.

4. Reporting & Resolution

When an incident occurs, it is important to report it promptly to ensure a timely and fair response. To report a possible violation, please email [email protected] or DM a Community Moderator directly. We investigate all reports with transparency and confidentiality.

5. Enforcement Ladder

We take violations seriously and follow a structured enforcement process:

  • Warning: Private written warning and required repair.
  • Limited Activities: Time-limited cooldown period.
  • Temporary Suspension: Reflection period with conditions for return.
  • Permanent Ban: Removal from all community spaces.

6. Scope & Attribution

This Code of Conduct applies within all Zuri Labs spaces and when representing the community officially. Adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 3.0.
